On September 9, 2019, the Cavendish division of Mitchel-Lincoln, specializing in packaging products, corrugated cardboard and custom boxes, was inaugurated. Its president, Mr. Jimmy Garfinkle, as well as the Mayor of Saint-Laurent, Mr. Alan DeSousa, were present for the opening.
The family business, based in the Saint-Laurent borough since 1965, has five plants across the province, including three in Saint-Laurent and two in Drummondville and Vaudreuil. Mitchel-Lincoln is also a partner with Atlantic Packaging, located in Toronto, a manufacturer of paper and cardboard.
"Michel Lincoln is a major business in the borough, with 5 buildings including 3 manufacturing plants, 1 warehouse and its headquarters," said Mr. DeSousa. It contributes to the economic influence of Saint-Laurent with close to 600 jobs in Montreal and a developed market throughout Quebec, and even beyond.
Michel Lincoln is also a pride for us, since by its actions of eco-responsibility it joins our movement of "sustainable municipal territory". The company is FSC® certified and offers its customers packaging products made of 100% recycled and recyclable fibers. "
