Continuous training: "Structured training" project accepted

12 December 2016

The Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT) has accepted the “Structured training” project proposed by the Association des manufacturiers et des exportateurs du Québec (MEQ). Referred by DESTL, ten Saint-Laurent manufacturers will participate in the project.

This initiative was proposed to businesses this past August and September. With the support of DESTL, the MEQ and HumEng, a skill development company, will launch the project in the coming weeks.

Financed by the CPMT’s Fonds de développement des competences, the project will make companies more competitive by improving employee skills and by enhancing the synergy between training and employment.

Thanks to the Structured training program, corporate managers and human resource heads will be able to:

  • Enhance their training management and skill-transfer skills
  • Identify training needs in their company
  • Structure and manage employee training by seeking/creating programs tailored to their current and future industrial reality
  • Involve employees in the training management process
  • Set up continuous training programs that will meet industrial imperatives

There are a few places left for businesses interested in this type of project.
