Businesses in the Canadian aerospace and defence sector will get their products to market faster and more efficiently with the Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions’s (CED) investment of $4.98 million in 11 Quebec aerospace companies, among which 4 settled in Saint-Laurent.
The companies that received funding include: Alphacasting Inc., DICI Industries Inc., Luxia Innovation Ltd. and M1 Composites Technology Inc.
"The industry is a leader and a source of inspiration when it comes to innovation. It employs 211,000 Canadians in high-quality and good-paying jobs, and generates more than $28 billion in the economy", explained the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister responsible for CED.
The financial assistance, provided under CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP), will be used by the companies to enhance their production capacity, or implement a commercialization strategy.
