The Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) is once again offering its support to Développement économique Saint-Laurent (DESTL), with a two-year grant.
The Honourable Stéphane Dion, MP for Saint-Laurent and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the DESTL team to announce this funding, which will be used to provide export services.
“DESTL is pleased to be able to count on the support of ISED to promote the growth of export businesses” said Josée Chiasson, General Manager of DESTL. “This is a nice vote of confidence in the work done by Export Montréal Ouest. I want to greet the achievement of the team.”
Export Montréal Ouest offers its services to exporters in Saint-Laurent, Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Côte-Saint-Luc, Hampstead, Montreal West and Mont-Royal, as well as in West Island boroughs and municipalities.
For close to 20 years, DESTL has supported the set-up, retention and expansion projects of Saint-Laurent businesses, which are a key economic engine for Quebec. As part of its integrated approach to economic development, DESTL also provides export, development and sustainable transport expertise.
