Financing: New export program

04 February 2016

CanExport is a new export assistance program for Canadian companies with fewer than 250 employees that wish to explore new markets.

The Department of International Trade and the Department of Small Business and Tourism are investing $50 million to help Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises take advantage of global export opportunities.

CanExport's objective is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs, while creating jobs and growth at home. Contributions vary from $10,000 to $100,000, according to the projects submitted and the export development costs. Hundreds of businesses will be able to benefit from this new program over the next five years.
