Développement économique Saint-Laurent (DESTL) welcomes to Saint-Laurent Festo, a worldwide leader in automation and industrial training.
Having recently opened premises at the intersection of Highway 13 and the Trans-Canada highway, the firm's team seeks to maximize their customers' productivity and competitiveness in factory and process automation.
"We set up shop in Saint-Laurent in order to be more visible and more accessible to our customers. We believe a good location can be advantageous for everyone, and the choice of our location is increasingly focused on automation," said Patrice Charlebois, Regional Manager, Eastern Canada.
Project for 2015
Festo Canada is preparing to offer an internship at its R&D laboratory located in Esslingen, Germany. To be eligible for this internship, a Quebec student must be enrolled in a vocational, CEGEP or university program related to automation. Details will be announced at a later date.
Festo is a leading manufacturer of pneumatic and electrical automation technology. Founded in 1925, the company has 16,700 employees in 176 countries. In Canada, it employs 150 persons, including 17 who serve Quebec and the Maritimes.
